Dr. Chuan Luo (罗川)
About MeI am currently an associate professor and a doctoral supervisor at School of Software, Beihang University, China. Before that, I used to work as a senior researcher at Microsoft Research Asia, China, as a postdoc at Leiden University, The Netherlands (under the supervision of Prof. Holger H. Hoos), and as an assistant professor at the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. I received the PhD degree in computer science from Peking University, China. I have been selected for the Young Elite Scientist Sponsorship Program by China Association for Science and Technology (中国科协青年人才托举工程) and the Young Talent Development Program by China Computer Federation (中国计算机学会青年人才发展计划). I am a senior member of China Computer Federation (CCF). I have published more than 50 CCF-A papers. As the principal investigator (负责人), I have led multiple research projects, including the project supported by the National Key Research and Development Program of China (国家重点研发计划课题), the project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (国家自然科学基金), etc. I have won a total of 17 championships in internationally renowned constraint solving competitions (international SAT competitions and international MaxSAT evaluations), including the first championship achieved by participants from Asia (亚洲首冠). My proposed techniques have been practically utilized by internationally renowned scholars, including a Nobel Prize winner (诺贝尔奖得主), contributing to significant economic benefits. My research achievements have been applied by leading technology companies, including the State Grid Corporation of China (国家电网), China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Limited (航天科工集团), Huawei (华为), and Microsoft (微软), effectively enhancing the performance and reliability of critical system software.
